Privacy Notice

PetMochi is built on trust. This notice explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control of your data.

Who we are

PetMochi is a fan-made community hub for Adopt Me players, operated as a sole trader by Posey Jones (trading as "PetMochi"). Posey Jones is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this notice. We are not affiliated with Uplift Games or Roblox. What we collect

  • Account email and authentication details through our secure sign-in provider.
  • Profile information you choose to add: username, avatar, banner, bio, fonts, colours and theme settings.
  • Community content: trade posts, auction posts, house-trade posts, comments, negotiation replies and global chat messages.
  • Social features: follows, trust votes and reported content.
  • Roblox verification status (only whether you verified, never your Roblox password or private account data).
  • Purchase records if you buy the PetMochi Supporter Pass (which Supporter Pass you hold and when).

How we use your data

  • To run your account and show your profile to other traders.
  • To power trade boards, auctions, house trades and chat.
  • To keep the community safe with automatic text and image moderation.
  • To answer bug reports, scam reports and feedback sent through bǐng.
  • To process optional Supporter Pass purchases and apply your Supporter tag.

Legal basis for processing

  • Performance of a contract — creating and running your account, hosting your posts and delivering anything you purchase, such as the Supporter Pass.
  • Legitimate interests — keeping the community safe, preventing scams and fraud, moderating content and improving PetMochi.
  • Consent — optional extras such as Roblox verification or contacting us through bǐng. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — keeping records we are required to keep, such as tax and payment records held through our payment provider.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share limited personal data with:
  • Paddle.com Market Ltd — our reseller and Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle receives the personal data needed to take payment, prevent fraud, handle refunds and customer service, and meet tax and invoicing obligations. See Paddle's privacy notice. Card details are entered directly with Paddle — PetMochi never sees or stores them.
  • Service providers (subprocessors) — hosting, database, storage, email delivery and automated moderation providers that operate on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers — legal or accounting advisers where needed.
  • Authorities — where we are required to by law, or to protect users from serious harm.

How long we keep data

  • Account and profile data: for as long as your account exists.
  • Posts, comments and chat messages: until you delete them or delete your account, after which they are removed or anonymised.
  • Moderation and scam-report records: up to 12 months, so repeat offenders can be caught.
  • Payment and tax records: held by Paddle as Merchant of Record for as long as the law requires (typically 6–7 years).

How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), encryption of data at rest with our hosting provider, row-level database access rules so people can only reach their own private data, hashed credentials handled by our sign-in provider, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we review these measures regularly and will notify you and any relevant authority if a breach affects your data.

Cookies and tracking

PetMochi only uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not sell your data or use third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

  • You can update most profile data in Settings at any time.
  • You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and community posts.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your data or to correct inaccurate information by emailing the address above.

Children's privacy

PetMochi is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us and we will remove the account.
